Material: Reste von Kantholz und Boden-Spanplatten aus der Auflösung von Mehlhaus-Ateliers, Deutz

Februar 2009, Atelierumzug. Für das Schild am Eifelwall verarbeitete ich Materialreste und Teile meines Atelierbodens, die ansonsten in den Container gelandet wären. 

Von beiden Seiten sieht man eine graue Fläche, ohne weitere Botschaften. Das Schild wird solange stehen bleiben, bis jemand anderer es entfernt. Am Ende sollte es ein ganzes Jahr auf dem Kreisel stehen. Am 15. Februar 2010 war das Schild verschwunden. Auf Anfrage beim Ordnungsamt Köln, begründete diese damit, dass  „[...] weil die Baustelle schon lange nicht mehr existiert“.

February 2009, studio relocation. For the sign on Eifelwall, I used leftover materials and parts of my studio floor that would otherwise have ended up in the skip. 

From both sides, you see a grey surface with no further messages. The sign will remain there until someone else removes it. In the end, it was supposed to stand on the roundabout for a whole year. On 15 February 2010, the sign had disappeared. When asked, the Cologne Public Order Office justified this by saying that ‘[...] because the construction site has long since ceased to exist’.
